Welcome to Ashdon Players

Welcome to Ashdon Players, a friendly group of people who get together early in October every year to perform a pantomime in the village of Ashdon near Saffron Walden in Essex. The pantomime is usually written by one of the members and is performed at the end of November. The performances take place in the Primary School on Friday and Saturday nights and during the Saturday afternoon. The Ashdon Players have been performing for many years but the history of the group is very incomplete. If you have any additional information please get in touch with one of the current members listed on the Contact page so that we can update the Web site to include as much as possible.

We have included photographs and programmes of past pantomimes and as much information as we have about each one. Click the link at the side of this page to look at these to spot yourself or members of family and friends.

Copies of DVDs of some of the pantomimes are available for purchase at £5. A special DVD of highlights from many fo the pantomimes is available at a special price of £7.50. If you wish to purchase a copy please contact John Brooker.

Copies of some of the scripts are also available at a cost of £110 to include postage. If you are interested in looking at a 3 or 4 page sample please contact Gillian Wotherspoon to arrange mailing details and/or payment to arrange for purchase of a script.
